Vitamin D improves fertility

At the European Conference of Endocrinology PureFit Keto  Specialists in 2017 (2017), studies were again presented showing that vitamin D is very important for fertility, both male and female. The fact that the vitamin can increase the level of testosterone in men is already known, if previously it has suffered vitamin D deficiency. The new research now revealed more links between vitamin D and human fertility. When fertility problems should always be considered as the level of vitamin D.

Vitamin D improves fertility

Vitamin D promotes fertility
Vitamin D is a hormone produced in the skin under the influence of sunlight. Few foods contain large amounts of vitamin D, so the body needs most of vitamin D. Particularly known is the effect of vitamin D on bone metabolism. Therefore, the treatment of osteoporosis usually involves supplements of vitamin D with calcium.

Meanwhile, we know that vitamin D has completely different effects. It is prescribed for its anti-inflammatory effects and its regulation in diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, the vitamin regulates the immune system, relieves pain and works, as we now know, fertility.

Vitamin D increases testosterone levels
It is said that up to 80% of the European population suffers from vitamin D deficiency. People who maintain a stable and unhealthy lifestyle are particularly affected. Very often, there is an increase in weight. The higher the level of obesity, the lower the vitamin D level. In the case of vitamin D deficiency, therefore, weight should always be regulated.

If vitamin D deficiency is present in a low level of testosterone in men, supplementation with vitamin D can increase testosterone levels and thus improve male fertility. He discovered that the level of testosterone was directly related to the level of vitamin D, which means that the higher the level of vitamin D, the higher the level of testosterone. We have reported on this connection here: vitamin D increases testosterone levels

Vitamin D and its effects on fertility
In recent years, female fertility has declined markedly, and the quality of men’s sperm has deteriorated steadily. The causes of this phenomenon can rarely be identified. Between 10 and 15 percent of all infertile couples are infertile: up to 10 percent of all women of childbearing age suffer from PCOS, a chronic hormonal disorder that, among other things, may be related to infertility. .

Dr. Elizabeth Lerschbaum of the University of Graz Medical has already conducted several studies to determine the effect of vitamin D on various aspects of male and female fertility. I discovered that vitamin D can positively affect fertility in both sexes:

In men, for example, it not only increases testosterone levels, but also sperm production and maturity.
In women, the vitamin regulates the cycle and promotes the maturation of the oocytes and the endometrial structure so that the embryo can be implanted.
The production of sex hormones, in men and women, increases through the sun’s vitamin.
In vitro fertilization (IVF) increases when vitamin D levels are high enough so that couples who wish to achieve their wishes in this way always consider vitamin D levels,
When PCOS is also in the endometrium (another factor can reduce fertility), there are also some positive results with respect to vitamin D.
